August 4 Update

Another great week in the TKM! This last Wednesday I started serving as a District Leader and got a new companion. His name is Elder Stark, also from Utah. He seems like a very good guy to be with and we've already become great friends. I like him so much because he likes to tract! We set out for tracting almost every day and found 3 new investigators doing so. We repeat the phrase I learned from my trainer, Elder Brown, "The lord is good to us". This week we arranged our apartment and I made sure Elder Stark got to know most of the branch members. I try to go up the biggest hills and take the hardest routs while biking to make sure he gets used to the bike area :) He wrecked the other day, but it wasn't that bad. We had to say goodbye to some of the missionaries on transfers last Wed. My "son" Elder Bright was crying so I snapped a picture of it. That was during P-day and right after we went to "Coolige Park". We ate lunch at a lady's house that feeds us once a week. We eat so much when we go over there that it's almost impossible not to fall asleep afterwards. My good friend Elder Rayburn got some pictures of it. I heard about the Eboli outbreak in Africa. My Mission President called me and asked if he could put one of the African Elders with us. I gladly Accepted and told him my friend, Elder Braden Orchard, is serving in that exact mission so he told me if he makes it to the list, he'll put him with me!! It's so unlikely, but let's hope that happens!
